Funnel clouds will be possible through 8 p.m., according to a special weather statement from the National Weather Service in Wilmington. These types of funnel clouds are typically short-lived and rarely touch down.
While atmospheric conditions are not supportive of strong, damaging tornadoes, these types of funnel clouds can on rare occasions briefly touch the ground and produce minimal, if any, damage, the NWS said.
Scattered showers continue tonight, mainly before 9 p.m., with patchy dense fog forming late tonight into the overnight hours, which will have a low around 62 degrees.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with patchy dense fog before 9 a.m. The high will be near 79 degrees, and scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible through late evening. The overnight low will fall to around 52 degrees.
The rest of the week will be sunny and seasonable before rain chances return Sunday.
Wednesday will be sunny with a high near 72 degrees. Skies stay clear Wednesday night, which will have an overnight low around 49 degrees.
It will be warmer Thursday with a high near 78 degrees, and the high will reach near 80 degrees for Friday.
