Mostly sunny skies with cold temps today

High pressure will lead to dry but cold conditions through the weekend. For the remainder of the upcoming week, there will be occasional chances for rain along with a gradual warming trend.

High pressure shifting will result in mostly sunny skies on Sunday with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

The NWS said temperatures will remain below normal with highs on Sunday ranging from the upper 20s northeast to the mid-30s in the southwest. Lows overnight will be in the upper teens to mid-20s.

On Monday, it’ll be partly sunny with a slight chance of rain after 1 p.m. Highs will be near 43 degrees.

Monday night brings overcast skies with a chance of rain before 1 a.m. The lows will drop into the mid-30s for the night as well.

Christmas Eve brings a mostly overcast day with highs in the mid-40s, followed by a overcast night as lows fall into the mid-30s.

Christmas Day will be mostly overcast but mild with a hance of rain. Highs will be near 48 degrees. Overnight, expect mostly cloudy skies with lows around 38 degrees.
