Mostly cloudy but breezy today; Colder temps to come midweek

High pressure will pass east across the Ohio Valley Saturday night, while a cold front will then move through tonight into Monday and followed by an Arctic front on Tuesday.

Today will be mostly cloudy but breezy with highs near 35 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Tonight brings a slight chance of drizzle, snow and freezing rain as lows fall near 22 degrees.

On Monday, it’ll be partly sunny but cold with highs around 25 degrees. Monday night will be partly cloudy with a low of 9 degrees. Wind chill values as low as 3 degrees below zero expected.

The NWS said bitterly cold weather can be expected by midweek.

Tuesday brings partial sunshine with a chance of snow after 1 p.m. Highs will be in the mid-teens for the day. Tuesday night brings partly overcast skies and temperatures in the negatives for the lows.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 19 degrees, followed by a mostly overcast night as lows fall near 7 degrees.

Thursday will be partly sunny with a high of 32 degrees. Thursday night will bring mostly overcast skies with a low of 21 degrees.
