Increasing clouds with chance for rain tonight, Christmas Eve morning

Developing southerly flow will lead to a warming trend through the end of the week along with occasional chances for rain.

Clouds will increase today with a slight chance of rain during the day, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Highs will be around 44 degrees.

Rain chances will be around 65% in the Dayton area by the early evening, with showers expected through Christmas Eve morning.

Gusty winds of up to 22 mph are also possible tonight. The lows will fall around 37 degrees.

On Christmas Eve, the day will bring overcast skies with a slight chance of rain showers before 1 p.m. The high will be near 45 degrees. Overnight, skies will be cloudy with a chance of rain showers after 1 a.m. and a low of 38 degrees.

Christmas Day brings overcast skies and a high of 48 degrees. Christmas night will stay cloudy with a low of 40 degrees.

Thursday brings more mostly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 50s, followed by a mostly overcast night as lows fall near 43 degrees
