Thursday is expected to be the coldest day of the week, with highs in the low 20s.
It will be mostly sunny during the day, with clouds increasing in the evening.
Light winds will cause temperatures to drop off quickly overnight, with lows dipping close to single digits again.
Friday is the region’s next best change for snow, with flurries possible during the day and increasing in the evening, according to the NWS.

Snow showers should start to taper off early Saturday morning, leading to 1 to 3 inches of accumulation.
Highs will be in the mid- to upper 20s Friday and drop to the low 20s overnight.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures starting to rebound slightly. Highs will be in the upper 20s.
