Cold with increasing clouds, chance of snow starting in afternoon

Today will start with mostly clear skies and frigid temperatures, with wind chill values in the single digits around dawn, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Otherwise, there will be increasing clouds with highs around 28 degrees and a chance of snow starting in the late afternoon.

Light snow accumulations will be possible, and motorists should watch for slick spots on the roadway.

Overnight, there will be a chance of snow until the early morning, with lows around 20 degrees.

Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy during the day and overnight, with highs around 37 degrees and lows around 27 degrees.

Saturday will be cloudy and warmer, with a chance of rain starting in the late afternoon. Highs will be around 47 degrees.

Showers will be likely through Saturday night with lows around 41 degrees.
