Cade Cradlebaugh had 13 rushes for 101 yards and a touchdown for the Spartans (3-4, 2-2).
WEEK 7 FOOTBALL COVERAGE
Northwest 21, Ross 20: Dylan Caldwell tallied a pair of touchdowns and 228 yards on 35 carries for the visiting Rams, who fell to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the Southwest Ohio Conference.
Dylan Zimmerman also ran for a TD for Ross. Dae’Mon Cherry’s 76-yard scoring run and Melanie Wilzbach’s extra point with 4:56 left were the difference for Northwest (2-5, 1-2).
New Miami 46, Lockland 13: David Cunningham piled up 271 all-purpose yards for the Vikings, who lifted their record to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in the Miami Valley Conference Gray Division. They're tied with Dayton Christian for the Gray lead.
Cunningham had 10 rushes for 79 yards and a touchdown, while Ronnie Bowman contributed a 53-yard scoring run and a 45-yard reception. Dalton Garrett, Bruce Montgomery and Zach Trent recorded nine tackles for loss.
Lockland is 2-5, 1-1.
Winton Woods 21, Edgewood 7: The visiting Cougars got a touchdown run from quarterback Corbin Craft in the first quarter, but didn't score again and suffered their second straight loss.
Elijah Williams paced Edgewood (5-2) with 122 yards on 21 carries. The Warriors improved to 6-1.
Mount Healthy 56, Talawanda 21: Tyler Teeters threw for 185 yards and a touchdown to Luke Richardson for the visiting Braves, who slipped to 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the Southwest Ohio Conference.
Teeters and Tyler Prater had TD runs for Talawanda. Quarterback Michael Crawford ran for three scores and threw a touchdown pass for Mount Healthy (4-3, 2-1), which totaled 410 yards on the ground.
Brookville 21, Monroe 13: Nick Osterman threw two touchdown passes for the host Hornets, who saw their record fall to 1-6 overall and 1-3 in the Southwestern Buckeye League Southwestern Division.
Osterman’s scoring connections covered 79 (to TeJean Rice) and 35 (to Tyler Hendricks) yards. The Blue Devils improved to 6-1, 3-0.
Lebanon 20, Centerville 12: The host Warriors scored 10 points in the last eight minutes to boost their record to 4-3. THe Elks remained winless at 0-7.
Keith Farr and Kyle Short ran for Lebanon touchdowns. Billy Crago kicked field goals of 38 and 43 yards.
