The following are the head high school football coaches in the Greater Western Ohio Conference.

• There are three coaches in their first season: Nathan Hyatt (Butler), Chris Roark (Fairborn) and Dave Miller (Fairmont).

• Only four of the 20 are in double digits for years with their teams: Bill Nees (Piqua), 25 years; Jay Minton (Wayne) 18; Shawn Lamb (Lebanon) 12; Ryan Wilhite (Springboro) 11.

• Senior coach: Bill Nees, Piqua; 25th year. Nees has held that title ever since Steve Nolan resigned at Troy in 2011 after 28 seasons as the Trojans’ head coach. Nolan resurfaced as Troy Christian’s head coach from 2013-15. He has been succeeded by Steve Jones, previously an Eagles assistant. It’s the first head coaching position for Jones, who also was an assistant at Dayton Christian before landing at Troy Christian.
