Lakota West standout named Ohio’s Ms. Soccer after leading team to state title

On the heels of a Division I state championship with her teammates, Lakota West junior Kailyn Dudukovich has added some major individual honors.

Dudukovich has been named Division I Player of the Year and Ms. Soccer (the top player in the state regardless of division) by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association.

Dudukovich, an Ohio State commit, finished the season with 50 goals, including both in the Firebirds' 2-1 win over Whitehouse Anthony Wayne in Saturday night's D-I title game at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus. Dudukovich's season goal total ranks 11th in all-time state history, according to Ohio High School Athletic Association records.

West defender Sydney Jones, also an OSU recruit, was named second-team, All-Ohio.
