Collins, Carol Jane
Carol Jane Collins, teacher, mentor, colleague, friend, sister, aunt, cousin, and beloved wife of John Gummel entered the Church Triumphant, December 3, 2024. She was a member and elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Dayton, Ohio and a member of The Westminster Choir.
Jane loved teaching children and was a first grade teacher at Northwood Elementary School and Hillel Academy.
Her love for children and the arts was demonstrated in her many years of work with and support for Muse Machine.
The Service of Witness to the Resurrection for Jane will be on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 1pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Dayton Ohio
Jane touched many lives, children, and grown-ups; students, teachers, colleagues, friends, and those she did not know. To continue her legacy of touching lives, and in lieu of flowers please contribute to the Jane Collins Memorial Fund at Westminster Presbyterian Church, established by her husband, John Gummel. The fund is dedicated to children's programming, and supporting the continuing excellence of Westminster's music ministry.
