The Hamilton County dog warden tipped off the Butler County dog wardens, who were able to locate and interview the owner. She told them she dumped the caged dog off at the SPCA outside entry way. She stated she owned the dog for several months, and it stayed in a cage due to her busy schedule.

The dog is receiving 24-hour care. The sheriff’s office said it is not sure whether the dog will survive.
