Officials responded to the complex at about 10 p.m. on Sunday after receiving the 911 call. In the call, a man said his wife and three other family members were on the ground and bleeding.
Johnson said he was walking his dogs when he “heard some commotion.”
“Some neighbors said they heard gunfire, I didn’t hear gunfire, I was out here the whole time,” he said.
Soon after, there was a large police presence, he said.
“I saw the cops sweeping in, I saw a lot of cops on foot ... yelling at someone to get down on their stomach,” Johnson said.
Officials are continuing to investigate and have not said what caused the deaths, identified the deceased or provided details about their investigation.
Another resident, who did not want to be identified, said she was out of town last night and that returning to find out the incident happened was shocking.
"They are not giving too much information. We pay too much money here to not feel safe," she said.
