1. Liberty Center and other retail growth
When the interchange opened, it paved the way for the 100-acre mega retail development Liberty Center, the opening salvo of retail growth on the west side of I-75 that includes dozens of restaurants and retail shops.
That includes Dillard’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods at Liberty Center and Cabela’s across the streets in West Chester Twp.

2. Medical buildings
The Christ Hospital Health Network on Jan. 8 opened its largest location outside of its main campus on acreage sandwiched between Interstate 75 and Cox Road in Liberty Twp. The $62 million Christ Hospital Medical Center-Liberty Twp. includes an emergency room and offers surgical services, a family birthing center, radiology and imaging, physical therapy, general surgery, dermatology, endocrinology and podiatry. There are also physician services such as primary care, orthopedics, cardiology, urology and more.
TriHealth is working on plans for a medical center just south of Liberty Way.

3. Hotel growth
With retail, medical and business growth comes a local boom in hotel growth, including a 130-room AC Hotel Cincinnati at Liberty Center, 7505 Gibson St., Liberty Twp., and a 116-room Holiday Inn Express at 7750 Liberty Field Dr. on the east side of the Liberty Way exit in West Chester. A 156-room Hyatt House extended stay hotel is set to be developed next door as part of The Fields at Liberty Way, a planned 13.35-acre development.
Liberty Center developer Steiner + Associates said it wants to bring two more hotels to that site and Miller Valentine Group said it intends to construct a hotel near whatever TriHealth brings to West Chester Twp.

4. Future Millikin Road Interchange/Cox Road extension
With the Liberty Interchange drawing development, township officials are now setting their eyes on spurring more growth via transforming the Interstate 75 overpass into a full interchange and extending Cox Road even further north past Millikin Road to connect with Ohio 63
That development would open up another 1,200 acres for commercial development for Liberty Twp. and the region as a whole.

5. Job creation
The interchange’s creation is projected to create approximately 10,000 new jobs at complete build-out with an annual payroll of $250 million. Those jobs and payroll are expected to be generated from a mix of commercial opportunities, including office, retail, hospitality, medical, research and development, community business, light industrial, business parks, Fortune 500 headquarters sites and more.
