Crews are on scene to repair the break, but Sackenheim said there could be multiple breaks.
Water main breaks are a “fairly routine situation” on this stretch of road, he said, where the water main is scheduled to be replaced in 2020.
Sackenheim said the goal is to have the repairs made and the road re-opened by 4 p.m. today.
INITIAL REPORT:
A water main break in front of a Fairfield business has closed Seward Road this morning.
The water main break was reported at about 8:10 a.m. in front of Pacific Manufacturing Ohio, 8955 Seward Road.
Fairfield police have closed the road between Port Union Road and Union Centre Boulevard. Employees who work for companies in the area will be able to get through, police said.
