WATCH: Bond set for Butler County man in emaciated dog case as protesters gather outside

David Neanover, 36, of Reily Twp., had his bond set at $25,000 on a felony charge of animal cruelty after a dog of his was found severely emaciated with open wounds and later died.

Protesters are outside of the courthouse in Oxford this morning with signs and shirts showing support for Lou, the dog who was found last month.

Neanover, 36, of Reily Twp., was charged with cruelty to a companion animal after anonymous complaints came in about an emaciated dog, said Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones.
