Alex Folino, 25, and his wife, Paige Folino, 23, were transported to Atrium Medical Center after they were extricated out of their 2017 Jeep Compass that suffered major damage. Their conditions are unknown.

Alex Folino, the driver, had a medical emergency before he drove off Oxford State Road, said Sgt. Kim Peters from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. Folino’s vehicle left Oxford State near the McDonald’s, drove down the grassy area, narrowly missing several utility poles.

The vehicle then crashed into a 1994 Dakota truck that was parked in the 500 block of Oxford State Road. That truck served as “a ramp,” according to the truck’s owner. He said the truck was parked next to a large tree, and if the truck wasn’t there, the vehicle would have hit the tree head-on.

The impact of the crash sent the Folinos’ car into the air, and it flipped at least once, collided with at least six parked vehicles in driveways before landing on Oxford State Road.

One witness said she saw the car flipping through the air, then landing on its top.

“‘Oh, no, call 911,’” Lexie Ritter, 17, told her friend. “‘I’m freaking out.’ I was so scared.”

Ritter, a senior at Butler Tech, said Trenton police arrived before she could call 911.

The road was closed for about an hour as the couple was extricated and two cars were towed.
