The center will provide a place where veterans will feel comfortable studying and connecting with other veterans, West said.
“Veterans Day is a perfect time to unveil this new space for this group of students who have given so much in service to our country,” West said. “We want them to know that we are on their side and we want this new center to be a resource for them as they complete their educational journey at IWU.”
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones will be the keynote speaker for the event, scheduled to start at 11 a.m. at the school.
A 1 p.m. breakout session geared toward student veterans will feature Leslie Zolman, director of admissions and academic advising for Indiana Wesleyan University.
The private, evangelical Christian, liberal arts university is located at 9286 Schulze Drive in West Chester Twp.
Indiana Wesleyan University includes the more than 10,000 adult students worldwide who attend classes online or at one of Indiana Wesleyan University’s 15 education centers in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
