Partin was accused of striking Hannah Wesche, who collapsed on March 8, 2018, and died 10 days later. The two sides gave different arguments about how Hannah suffered her injuries, but the jury returned guilty verdicts against Partin on all six counts.
Partin will be sentenced on May 9.
“Relief, a wave of emotion, can’t even explain it, just ecstatic,” Jason Wesche said. “Guilty on all charges, could not have asked for anything more.”
He added nothing will bring Hannah back.
“She could go to prison for the rest of her life, it’s not gonna bring Hannah back,” he said.
Butler County Sheriff’s detective Dan Turner, the lead detective in the case, was emotional after the verdict was read.
“This is what it was all about. We had a lot invested in this … it’s about Hannah,” he said.
Family members remained quiet in the courtroom as the jury’s verdicts were read just before 9:30 p.m. Friday. The jury deliberated for about 12 hours on Friday.
