Kroger’s location on Ohio 747 in West Chester Twp. will shut it doors earlier than usual on its last day before a much larger storefront opens Thursday about a half a mile to its north.

The Cincinnati-based grocer’s nearly 72,000-square-foot location at 8238 Princeton Glendale Road will close at 9 p.m. instead of its usual midnight closing time.

The company, which operates more than 150 Kroger Marketplace locations, is scheduled to open a new 133,000-square-foot Kroger Marketplace at 7 a.m. Thursday at 8000 Princeton Glendale Road in West Chester Twp.

A ribbon-cutting/grand opening ceremony is scheduled for 8 a.m. The company has not released information regarding any special deals or giveaways.

The new store on the southeast corner of Ohio 747 and Tylersville Road will feature fresh food, a fuel center, pharmacy drive-thru, Little Clinic, in-store bank and more.

The grocery store is located inside the 36-acre Crossings of Beckett, which will soon welcome three other new businesses: Ambiance Nail Spa, SuperCuts and PetPeople.
