Sunny and warm today; temperatures to rise through weekend

Today, we will see mostly sunny skies with a high of around 83 degrees, which will fall to around 61 degrees tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

The NWS tweeted on Thursday that as we go into the weekend, a high-pressure system that brought us cooler, less humid weather will gradually move away to the east, causing temperatures to climb.

On Saturday, it will be sunny with a high near 87 degrees, followed by a mostly clear night with a low of around 65 degrees.

Sunday will again be sunny, with temperatures climbing to around 91 degrees. On Sunday night, however, we will start to see some clouds gather, with a low temperature of around 70 degrees.
