INITIAL REPORT, 6 a.m., Jan. 15
The substitute teacher arrested this month for allegedly performing a sex act inside a Fairfield middle school classroom is scheduled to appear in Fairfield Municipal Court this morning.
Tracey J. Abraham, 41, of Cincinnati, was arrested Jan. 8, after he admitted to “fondling himself” in Creekside Middle School on Nilles Road while children were in the classroom, according to police. He is scheduled to appear at 8:30 a.m. in Fairfield Municipal Court.
INITIAL REPORT: Substitute teacher accused of performing sex act on himself in classroom
Police charged Abraham with public indecency, a first-degree misdemeanor, after a school resource officer received complaints from several students and a staff member, according to a police report. He admitted to “fondling himself” on the outside of his pants as he was looking at explicit photos on his phone, but was never exposed, according to the report.
A 13-year-old female student recorded Abraham’s behavior on her phone, which showed Abraham doing the act “while sitting behind the teacher’s desk at the front of the room and looking at his cellphone.”
Abraham appeared in the Fairfield Municipal Court just a few hours after he was escorted from the classroom for an arraignment. The hearing was continued so he could obtain an attorney.
