Abraham is to appear back in the Fairfield court at 9 a.m. on Feb. 27.
Campbell also continued his OR bond.
INITIAL STORY:
The substitute Fairfield teacher accused of “fondling himself” in a classroom filled with middle school students, is due back in court a day after the Bureau of Criminal Investigations filed a new evidence report with the court.
Tracey J. Abraham’s pants and underwear, and oral swabs from the 41-year-old Cincinnati man, were submitted on Jan. 22 to the Ohio Attorney General’s criminal investigation arm. It filed an evidence report in Fairfield Municipal Court on Monday, Feb. 4.
Abraham, who is charged with public indecency, a first-degree misdemeanor, will be in court today for a 10 a.m. pretrial hearing.
Abraham was arrested on Jan. 8 after he admitted to “fondling himself” in Creekside Middle School on Nilles Road while children were in the classroom, according to police.
Police charged Abraham after a school resource officer received complaints from several students and a staff member, according to a police report. A 13-year-old female student recorded Abraham’s behavior on her phone, which showed Abraham doing the act “while sitting behind the teacher’s desk” while looking at his cellphone.
Abraham admitted to “fondling himself” on the outside of his pants as he was looking at explicit photos on his phone, but was never exposed, according to the report. He retained Cincinnati attorney Louis Sirkin.
Fairfield Municipal Court Judge Joyce Campbell released Abraham after his Jan. 8 arraignment on an own recognizance bond. The bond was continued on Jan. 15 by Visiting Judge Gerald Leshner after Abraham appeared with his attorney.
He’s also ordered to stay away from children.
