Owned and operated by Piyush and Tushar Patel, a local brother and sister-in-law duo, the salon will offer a variety of hair and scalp services inspired by international trends for both women and men.
Piyush Patel owns several other businesses, including Subway and Dairy Queen. Branching into the beauty industry, in which Tushar Patel has previously worked as a hairstylist, felt like a good fit.
“Ever since landing my first job in the beauty industry, I have wanted to own my own salon,” said Tushar Patel. “Deciding on Nikita Hair was a no-brainer. Their culture celebrates enthusiasm and positivity, and their salon services value inclusivity above all else, which is an important perspective to uphold in the beauty industry.”
The new location will be the first in Ohio.
“We’re thrilled to be one of the first locations in the U.S.,” said Piyush Patel. “It’s an honor to be able to play a part in sharing the Nikita Hair brand … and to have a platform to share the great story behind the brand. The community is sure to fall in love with the concept and atmosphere just as we did.”
At Nikita Hair, stylists provide clients with an assessment and advice on products and treatments to keep their hair in shape. Locations offer a line of hair and skin care products — Eleni and Chris — made with ingredients sourced from Scandinavia.

Nikita Hair said its franchise model and proprietary seven-step training process is “easily replicated” in the United States, where founder Inger Ellen Nicolaisen sees limitless growth opportunities in the $62 billion-dollar beauty industry.
“It feels great to start our rapid expansion with such experienced entrepreneurs,” Nicolaisen said. “After kickstarting development in Florida, we wanted to move beyond the Southern corner, and we are confident the Patels’ Ohio presence will positively impact our Midwestern expansion efforts.”
