A new salon plans to make its debut this summer in Hamilton as part of the retail component of a high-profile mixed use project.

Revive Salon will open this July as one of the first tenants at The Marcum, which will feature 103 apartment units and 10,000 square feet of first-floor commercial space

Owner Gina Stitzel, who has nearly 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, said the salon will bring the full Aveda product line to Hamilton and offer traditional salon services: women’s and men’s haircuts, color services, keratin treatments, styling, prom and wedding styles, and extensions.

It will add spray tanning to its offerings, as well.

“We are a small business but wanted to bring a top of the line product offering to Hamilton,” Stitzel said. “With our dedicated retail space, there will no longer be the need to drive out of Hamilton to find top-tier products and top-tier service offerings.”

Stitzel said she had been looking to open a salon in Hamilton for years and knew she wanted to locate it at The Marcum as soon as she heard about the project.

“Along with all the activity at the Marcum Park with the concerts, Hamilton Flea, festivals and other events, (it) creates the perfect atmosphere I have been looking to be a part of,” she said.

The salon has eight stations for stylists and one aesthetician and potentially one to two receptionists. To inquire about employment opportunities, email ginastitzel@gmail.com.

“Revive brings a first-class Aveda branded salon to downtown Hamilton, further enhancing The Marcum’s place in the city’s urban revival,” said Jim Cohen, president of The Marcum’s developer, CMC Properties.
