As staggered groups visit the cellar and barn following the talk, the house will remain open as is customary with Friends of Chrisholm’s third Saturday of the month open house events. Learn from docents and the various exhibits about the connection of Chrisholm to the leader of the first group of Amish families to settle in Butler County in 1819, the growth of this once-flourishing historic Amish settlement, and its evolution through the 1800′s. Note for your planning, the outdoor stairway entrance to the cellar is not modified for wheelchair access.
While there is no fee, registration for the Cellar and Barn Tour event is required. To register or for more information, go to yourmetroparks.net.
