An Oxford man told police he is worried his father is recruiting people to retaliate against him for a July 4 arrest by blowing up his mobile home.

An intoxicated woman faces burglary and assault charges after twice entering a Willow Lane residence April 28, the second time breaking a window and suffering serious cuts on her hand, according to a police report.

Police were called to the residence at 3:30 a.m. and the officer found the woman seated on the floor, actively bleeding from the hand. She was identified as Karina Michael, 25, from her Ohio license found near her on the floor.

A resident of the house said Michael was unknown to anyone in the house had first entered through an unlocked back door and was found eating a “cookie cake.” She and another resident of the house had escorted her out by the same door and locked the deadbolt behind her following an altercation in which one of them was punched several times. Michael, however, then punched out the glass and reached in to unlock the deadbolt, causing the cuts to her hand.

The residents persuaded her to sit and calm down and police arrived soon after. The evening was not over, however.

Medics were called to treat her and she refused but she was taken to McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital because the bleeding needed to be stopped due to the likelihood she would be going to the Butler County Jail. She repeatedly pulled away from medics and attempted to bend a finger back of the officer attempting to assist. Ultimately, she was handcuffed although they did not want to do that due to the bleeding.

At the hospital she refused treatment and continued to resist efforts to help her so the ER staff tried to clean the wound as best they could before she was discharged.

She was charged with aggravated burglary, assault and criminal damage and taken to jail.
