Part of Seward Road in Fairfield to close for 2 days

Emergency maintenance by CSX Transportation will require a portion of Seward Road to close to through traffic.

Seward Road, between Ohio 4 and Port Union Road, will be closed beginning Thursday, Nov. 29, through Friday, Nov. 30, weather permitting.

CSX is scheduled to perform the emergency maintenance to the existing railroad, and temporarily replace portions of the concrete panel system between the rails and the road.

Portable message boards will be posted notifying motorists of the detour, which will direct traffic around the construction site via Port Union Road to Bypass Ohio 4 to Ohio 4/Dixie Highway.
