McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital-TriHealth is reaching out to area artists to partner in creating a healing environment for patients and families.

Through its annual Healing Art exhibit, the hospital displays artwork created by local artists throughout its halls.

Artists within a 100-mile radius of McCullough-Hyde are invited to submit work for the annual juried art show. Submission deadline is Aug. 16.

This year’s show will be juried by Patrick Mulvahey, who will work with a committee of hospital staff and volunteers to select from the exhibit for Purchase Awards. These pieces will be purchased by the hospital and other donors to become part of its permanent collection, and will remain on display throughout the show.

The juried artwork in the exhibit will be eligible for $5,000 in Purchase Awards.

Local artists 18 years and older may apply by requesting an entry form from from Connie Clements, Auxiliary of McCullough-Hyde/TriHealth, 2017 Healing Art Project, 110 N. Poplar St., Oxford, OH 45056; or include your own email address and send request to connie.clements.cc@gmail.com.

All 2-D fine art media are accepted, including mixed media, glass, fabric, metal, or wood suitable for wall hanging.

A Healing Art Exhibit Opening Reception for the public and to introduce the artists and their work is scheduled for Oct. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at McCullough-Hyde Hospital.
