RDI, an outsourcer of telecommunication, IT and creative business solutions, is looking to hire at least 50 new employees.

RDI, a 40-year company with roots in Oxford for 20 years, encompasses 3,500 employees in North America. It’s owned by the Trebbi Family and its CEO is the founder’s son.

The company provides call center and administrative services, as well as market research to a broad mix of companies, according to its website.

John Wesler, office manager for RDI’s Oxford location, said the company is hiring all positions.

“Our immediate need is entry level positions with intent to track to management,” Wesley said. “In our Oxford location we need to hire 50 employees to be 120 percent staffed.”

Average salary will vary on position, he said. Interested parties are asked to contact the local office’s talent recruiter to learn more.

We asked Wesley about what local job seekers can do to improve their chances of being hired. Here’s what he had to sa:

Q: What’s the biggest challenge facing the company and others in the industry and how is the company uniquely positioned to address that challenge?

A: “The biggest challenge for our industry is staying on top of R&D. Working in the IT realm, if we do not stay on the cutting edge, we will lose the next big contract to a new app or specialized internet tool. We stay ahead of that because we build and have built all of our systems in house which gives us the ability to stay flexible and creative versus other companies who require or have to pay to have new rollouts on their systems.”

Q: What’s the most prevalent roadblock you encounter when it comes to hiring and what can jobseekers do to remedy that situation?

A: “Our most prevalent roadblock is changing the stigma of that a 3rd party outsourcer carries. This is not a 1990 Data center, this is a 2018 fully engaged and proud company that takes care of its people before its profits. The best action job seekers can do to remedy this is stop by and have a conversation with us and you will feel the culture and compassion that comes with working for RDI.”

Q: What’s the vision for the company’s growth, both jobs and otherwise, for the next five years?

A: “RDI has outstandingly grown at 15 percent revenue since 2011. We have had seven acquisitions in the past five years alone. The goal for the next five years is to continue that outstanding growth through acquisition and targeted site launches. It is imperative that we grow smart and not too fast and look to become the nation’s foremost outsourcer. The outsourcer that is going to save you money through saving customers, not by undercutting costs.”

Q: Some job seekers are concerned about the limits of advancement within a company. To what degree can your employees advance from entry-level roles to be promoted to greater positions within the company?

A: “This is one of the strongest benefits to taking a chance with RDI. Ninety-five percent of our C level management, directors and all production floor managers are advanced from an entry level position. We love promoting from within. There are not many companies that do it better than RDI when it comes from developing their people and feeding them opportunities to make this their first and last career.”
