Locally, UC Health’s West Chester Hospital was recognized as high performing in one adult specialty, nephrology. It also ranked as high performing in heart failure care, as did Premier Health’s Atrium Medical Center, Kettering Health’s Fort Hamilton Hospital and Mercy Health-Fairfield Hospital.

The highest ranking hospital in Ohio was the Cleveland Clinic, followed by University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Two Cincinnati area hospitals were ranked in the Top 3 of hospitals in the Cincinnati, Ohio metropolitan area, which includes Hamilton and Middletown.
Christ Hospital, which ranked No. 1, was recognized as high performing in three adult specialties — geriatrics, nephrology and orthopedics. It also ranked in nine procedure/conditions: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic valve surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, colon cancer surgery, heart bypass surgery, heart failure care, hip replacement, knee replacement and lung cancer surgery.
Bethesda North Hospital was ranked No. 3 in Cincinnati and No. 17 in the region. It was recognized as high performing in colon cancer surgery, heart failure care and knee replacement.

Two area hospitals were ranked in the Top 10 of best hospitals in Ohio in the latest annual rankings released today by U.S. News & World Report.
Miami Valley Hospital ranked sixth and Kettering Medical Center was ranked 10th out of Ohio’s 237 hospitals.
Miami Valley Hospital, which is part of Premier Health, had the highest overall rank out of the Dayton and Cincinnati area both this year and last year.
Miami Valley Hospital also was recognized as high performing in 11 specialities including nephrology, orthopedics, pulmonology and lung surgery, aortic valve surgery, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, colon cancer surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), hip replacement, knee replacement, and lung cancer surgery.
Kettering Medical Center, which is part of Kettering Health Network, was recognized as high performing in abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, colon cancer surgery, heart failure care, hip replacement, knee replacement, and lung cancer surgery.
