Butler County’s newest McDonald’s restaurant opened Wednesday in Fairfield Twp.

The restaurant, owned and operated by Derrick and Kara Tafur, opened at at 2866 Menard’s Blvd in Fairfield Twp. The couple presented a check to the Big Brother Big Sister of Butler County during a ribbon cutting ceremony.

“McDonald’s is committed to being a great neighbor and working hand-in-hand with Fairfield Township to support our city and region together,” said Kara Tafur, who, with her husband owns and operates four restaurants in the area. “This new restaurant is an important step as we continue to support the community.”

The restaurant will be selling coffee for $1 until Jan. 12 to celebrate the opening.

The new restaurant will initially employ over 70 individuals, but expect to have 90 crewmembers in 2025, the company announced. The facility features a double lane drive thru with mobile ordering technology, the lobby is equipped with order kiosks, cash handlers, digital play tables, and the newest cooking facilities utilizing McDonald’s newest and innovative technology to prepare quality products with quality and service being considered.
