911 callers described scene on night of shooting
A man who placed a 911 call on Dec 14 told Middletown police dispatchers that “someone shot Benny Barefield,” his car was hit by bullets and it was locked.
“He is in his car. He hit the stop sign. There’s bullet holes in the car,” the caller told dispatchers.
The 911 caller said he had been driving down the road when he observed Barefield driving with his headlights off.
