The Warren County Board of Commissioners participated in a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday with the Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Warren County Port Authority at the site of the $15 million, 106-acre Warren County Sports Park at Union Village.

Commissioner Dave Young recognized and thanked Otterbein CEO Jill Wilson for the donation of the land as part of negotiations resulting in the approval of the 1,400-acre Union Village development.

The project is being financed by the port authority, which issued $15 million in bonds to construct the facility financed through a 0.25 percent increase in lodging tax. It will be operated and maintained by the convention and visitors bureau.

It will consist of baseball, softball and multi-sports fields. For more information, call 513-695-1250.
