Macy’s is set to welcome Cincinnati’s first Macy’s Backstage to its location in the Tri-County Mall on April 14.

Macy’s Backstage offers customers another way to shop at the retail giant by providing a store-within-a-store shopping experience that features “significant savings on fabulous finds,” company officials said.

Located on the first level inside the full-line Macy’s at 11700 Princeton Pike in Springdale, the new outlet store will have approximately 18,500 square feet of dedicated retail space. The grand opening will be celebrated with giveaways for the first 200 customers and special events throughout the day.

There are currently 53 Macy’s Backstage locations nationwide. Seven free-standing Backstage stores opened in the Northeast and San Antonio, TX in 2015 and 2016. In the subsequent years, Macy’s has opened more than 40 store-within-store locations, allowing customers to shop both merchandise offerings in one trip to their local mall.

“Macy’s Backstage is operated by its own buying team who scour the world to find the most fabulous product at the best prices,” the company said in a release. “That structure allows Backstage to deliver a constantly changing assortment of on-trend merchandise at 20 to 80 percent off traditional department store prices and encourages customers to return often to find new treasures.”

The wide selection will include fresh product from both new and renowned brands. The outlet store will also carry apparel and accessory brands not currently available at full-line Macy’s, and each Backstage location is specially curated to each community it serves.

Macy’s Backstage aims to provide savings on apparel for men, women and children, as well as deals on a wide array of housewares, home textiles & decor, cosmetics, hair & nail care, gifts, jewelry, shoes, designer handbags, accessories and activewear.

Helping customers in the store will be sales associates known as the Backstage Crew, as well as mobile check-out stations and three-way mirror installations in the fitting rooms.

Shoppers can use their Macy’s credit card and earn and redeem Star Rewards at Backstage locations, creating a seamless experience for those shopping at both Macy’s distinct department and outlet store brands. Customers will be encouraged to “Pin, Snap and Share” their looks using #macysbackstage.
