The donations come after Musk's July announcement that he would reach out to Flint officials about what their water needs are, mlive reported.
"(Thanks) for investing in the health/future (and) well-being (of) FCS Students," the district said in a tweet. "Looking forward to our burgeoning partnership! More to come!"
Thank you @elonmusk and @MuskFoundation for investing in the health/future well-being FCS Students! Your generous donation will help us replace ALL water fountains w/NEW WATER STATIONS & WATER FILTRATION at ALL SCHOOLS! Looking forward to our burgeoning partnership! More to come!

The district did not offer further comment, mlive reported.
"You're most welcome," Musk replied. "Hope to do more to help in the future."

Musk has also previously asked residents to send in their lead test results.
“(Let’s) organize a weekend in Flint to add filters to those houses with issues and hopefully fix the perception of those that are actually good," Musk had said.
Please consider this a commitment that I will fund fixing the water in any house in Flint that has water contamination above FDA levels. No kidding.
