No lights likely to blame for West Chester motorcycle crash

The motorcyclist was riding without headlights when he struck the SUV, township officials said.

“It appears that the motorcycle, traveling west on Muhlhauser, didn’t have lights,” township spokeswoman Barb Wilson said. “The vehicle was turning left out of Sugar Creek Packaging and didn’t see the motorcycle. The motorcycle driver T-boned the vehicle and was thrown from his bike.”

The scene is cleared and Muhlhauser Road is open.

Emergency crews are still on the scene of a serious crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV in West Chester Twp.

The crash happened around 6 a.m. at Ohio 747 and Muhlhauser Road. One person was taken to West Chester Hospital with a serious, but non-life-threatening, leg injury.

Eastbound Muhlhauser Road is still shut down near the Sugar Creek plant, according to township spokeswoman Barb Wilson.
