Earlier this month, Jungle Jim’s International Market offered customers the opportunity to purchase alligator fillet.

Next up for the grocer at both its Fairfield and Eastgate locations: camel tenderloins.

The off-beat offering features “the most tender and delectable cut of a camel” for $14.99 per pound.

Scott Severs, Jungle Jim’s Meat Operations Manager, said he is excited about the rare international delicacy, which can be a conversation piece for any dinner party.

“This is a first for both of our Jungle Jim’s meat departments,” Severs said. “Farm-raised camel tenderloin steaks and roasts from Australia is simply an item you don’t come across everyday”
