Police said Saturday morning they have arrested Jason Halcomb.
Police released a statement late Saturday morning saying “(Halcomb) was located at Church Street. He was taken into custody and the murder weapon was recovered.”
“The family of the deceased, William Ray Riley age 28, have been notified,” said police.
“The Middletown Division of Police thanks the citizens that assisted in this investigation.”

Middletown Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a homicide suspect they said shot and killed a man Friday night.
Police described the suspect as “armed and dangerous.”
Police said they received a call that Jason Halcomb had allegedly shot someone in the 400 block of Curtis St. at approximately 9:09 p.m. Friday.
According to a police statement “upon arrival a male was found shot at the scene. He was transported to the hospital where he died. His identity is not being released until family can be found and notified.”
“We found that a group of homeless people had been in the 400 block of Curtis St. (Halcomb) had stolen some property from a female and a man came to her defense and was killed by (Halcomb),” the police statement says.
Police, who also released a photo of Halcomb, said he fled the scene and has not been located.
Halcomb should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, said police.

They advise anyone seeing him should call 911. Anyone with information should call Detective Hoover at 513-425-7796.
Halcomb is described as a 40-year-old white male, six feet tall, about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt and blue jeans.
