Middletown utility customers can pay their water, sewer, trash and stormwater bills any time through a new electronic billing and payment service.

The new service provided by Invoice Cloud started March 2 and allows customers to pay their utility bills at their convenience through an automated payment line or its pay by text option to receive text message notifications and pay using their preferred payment method online.

City officials said the easy-to-use payment portal provides customers with quick access to their account to view bills, check their balance and make payments with credit/debit card or electronic check.

The service also features an “at a glance” dashboard, scheduling one-time or automatic payments, securely storing payment information, and receiving email and optional text reminders. It also enables people who own multiple properties to link their accounts and the city will continue to offer paperless billing, officials said.

City officials said creating an account is recommended to access all the features but is not required to view and pay bills online.

“Offering new convenient options to pay anytime, anywhere, including pay by text and automatic payments, should enhance the customer experience and we are excited to offer this new payment platform to our residents,” said Jacob Burton, city finance director.

Customers can make payments online or enroll in pay by text by going to the city’s website, www.cityofmiddletown.org and clicking on the Online Payments tab or by going to www.invoicecloud.com/middletownoh. Phone payments can be made by calling (855) 967-0310.
