All three were selected from the eligibility list as a result of civil service testing procedures. Middletown City Council confirmed their appointments to the Division of Fire at its Nov. 7 meeting. All three will have an annual salary of $40,378.70.
Cottrell was born in Lima and is a graduate of Piqua High School.
Pittman was born in Akron and attended The Ohio State University where he played football as a running back from 2004-2006. He played professional football in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints in 2007 and the St. Louis Rams in 2008-2009.
Robertson was born in Middletown and is a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School. His grandfather, Roger South, was a former assistant chief for the Middletown Division of Fire and his uncle, David South, is a former fire captain.
