A Middletown Public Works Department crew was working in cold temperatures this morning to repair a section of eastbound Roosevelt Boulevard/Ohio 122 on Friday morning.

Scott Tadych, city public works director, said a small void formed in the pavement around a damaged culvert and that the damage was weather-related from the week’s and Thursday’s heavy rains.

Roosevelt Boulevard/Ohio 122 is a key Middletown thoroughfare to Interstate 75.

That section, which is just east of South Breiel Boulevard intersection, was closed about 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon and officials hope to have it reopened by this evening at the earliest.

Traffic is being detoured from South Breiel Boulevard to Oxford State Road to Cincinnati-Dayton Road back to Ohio 122 east.
