MORE: Developers: Deerfield Twp. will be home to the next Hyde Park Square
Within the first year of operation, Mercy Health intends to offer extended hours at the complex’s primary care practices, including evenings and Saturdays. The primary care practices will accommodate walk-in patients for urgent medical needs, according to Mercy-Health Cincinnati.
“The District at Deerfield promises to be one of newest entertainment centers in Greater Cincinnati, attracting both residents and many businesses. Mercy Health’s medical office complex in the District will be a convenient, easily accessible location for residents and area employees to see primary and specialty care doctors and have diagnostic services,” Mike Garfield, Mercy Health-Cincinnati’s CEO and senior vice president, said in a release.
In addition to primary care providers, the location will also house cardiology, women’s health services and general surgery practices. Mercy Health will offer diagnostic services on site, including lab draws, X-ray, MRI, mammography, ultrasound and cardiopulmonary testing.
The location will open with eight full-time providers and can grow to accommodate additional providers in the future. Mercy Health could expand the facility to add further services in the future, officials said.

Mercy Health is scheduled to break ground on the facility this Wednesday and open it in the summer of 2019.
“Anytime a company like Mercy Health makes a commitment to a community like they are here, it’s a big deal,” Jim Flick, Deerfield Twp.’s director of economic development, told the news outlet. “We are very excited for this project to break ground and to essentially kick off the District at Deerfield development which will provide additional assets for the community.”
The project was approved by Deerfield Twp. Zoning Commission on March 12, Flick said. The zoning certificate for the building was issued July 19, according to Hayfaa Wadih, the township’s planning manage.
Mercy Health collaborated with Cushman & Wakefield to select and acquire the 5.8-acre site from Wilkens Associates II, which is developing the 28-acre site that will be anchored by The District at Deerfield, a mixed-use development with 95,000 square feet of street level retail and restaurant space, plus 362 apartments.
Leasing for the District at Deerfield is being handled by Joshua Rothstein, a retail specialist with OnSite Retail Group.
