An unidentified man was pulled from a submerged vehicle in the Great Miami River in Hamilton Tuesday night by rescue teams, according to officials.

At about 3:45 p.m. Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Services Team and the Task Force One Dive Team responded to the Great Miami River, south of the Columbia Road bridge, for a vehicle in the water.

Hamilton police told divers a white SUV vehicle had driven into the river and believed to be occupied.

The ERS team utilized their underwater drone for a better visual of the contents of the vehicle and an ice rescue boat was utilized for retrieval of the body. The man was dead when they pulled him from the vehicle.
