Will Hamilton’s Five Points intersection become a roundabout?

The Butler County Engineer’s Office will hold an open house this month to provide information and to gather feedback about a proposed intersection improvement at Hamilton Mason Road/Tylersville Road/Grand Boulevard/Hancock Avenue/Tuley Road, known locally as the Five Points intersection.

A proposed plan calls for converting the five-road intersection to a roundabout. The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2021.

The public open house will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Crawford Woods Elementary, 2200 Hensley Ave. in Hamilton.

The Butler County Engineer’s Office and the city of Hamilton will be hosting the open house that will include information displays about the proposed project.

Maps, photos, and other material, including copies of the draft environmental studies, will be available for residents to review and to  discuss with employees from the Butler County Engineer’s Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

These representatives will be available to answer questions and hear ideas, according to the meeting’s organizers. The meeting materials will be available in English and Spanish.
