Weather causes reschedule of teen talent show

A new talent competition for Butler County teens has been rescheduled after the original Aug. 23 event was canceled due to inclement weather.

The first-time event — Butler County Teens’ Got Talent — is rescheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 6 in the Ross High School auditorium, 3601 Hamilton Cleves Road, said Sandra Thompson, director of the Fairfield-based nonprofit Learning Impacts Family Enrichment, Inc. that is organizing the event.

The talent competition is open to the public and will feature students from the Butler Tech, Edgewood, Fairfield, Hamilton, Lakota and Ross school districts. The acts will compete in front of a panel of judges for first, second and third place trophies.

Performances will include five soloists, a duet, and a band.
