1. It opened four years ago
Heather Gibson opened Triple Moon, 1100 Central Ave., in 2015 at the corner of Central Avenue and Broad Street, in a location that had buried dreams of other business owners. Gibson, a 1987 Monroe High School graduate, worked at a cabinet making business in Miamisburg before opening Triple Moon.
2. More chairs added to accommodate customers
Triple Moon continues to grow and Gibson recently remodeled the inside of the restaurant to make room for more chairs.
3. Ron Howard likes vegetarian wrap
Actor/producer/director Ron Howard has been spotted a few times inside Triple Moon. Gibson said Howard ordered a “Bad Hunter,” a vegetarian sandwich. Next week Howard will be in Middletown directing “Hillbilly Elegy,” the film version of J.D. Vance’s memoir of growing up among working-class “hillbillies” in Middletown. Vance graduated from Middletown High School in 2003.
4. What Triple Moon offers
Chicken and egg salad sandwiches, wraps and Italian subs, soups, free WiFi and a conference room that seats 30. Gibson calls it “a simple menu.”

5. Triple Moon’s motto
The coffee house motto is “Good Vibes, Great Coffee,” and Gibson jokes she’s a late-blooming hippy.
