RELATED: 2 food delivery drivers robbed at gunpoint in West Chester
“There were two of them, one of them was behind me pointing a gun at my ribs and the other one searched my car for any valuables,” he said on the 911 call. “I’m not injured at all, not at all. The only thing they really said was basically we’re sorry we’re doing this and thank you for the food.”
This is the third time food delivery drivers have been robbed in the township in a month. A 21-year-old West Chester Twp. man reported he was robbed of $80 by an armed suspect at around 8 p.m. on Oct. 7 while delivering Marcos Pizza in the 5100 block of Aster Park Drive.
Another incident occurred the next day, when $65 worth of food from New China was stolen by an individual who allegedly brandished a handgun at the 41-year-old man on Queenswood Court at around 8:15 p.m.
Township spokeswoman Barb Wilson said while the incidents are similar there are “no definitive links at this time.”
The police report indicates the driver’s phone was valued at $1,000 and he lost credit cards and his driver’s license.
