A second baby has been born at the Butler County Jail this month.

The baby girl was delivered at 5:30 a.m. today, according to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.

On June 10, a baby girl was born at the jail as the mother was being prepared for transport for a medical check.

“Although a child being born is a beautiful thing, these recent events are unsettling,” Jones said.

Jones has called a news conference to discuss the births for later this morning.
