Results released for Warren County OVI checkpoint

Five vehicles were diverted for suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence during an OVI checkpoint Friday in Warren County.

The OVI checkpoint was on U.S. 22/Ohio 3 just east of Landen Drive in Deerfield Twp. and conducted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Lebanon post, and aided by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Hamilton Twp. police, the Ohio Department of Transportation, Warren County Safe Communities.

During the checkpoint that ran from 9 to 11 p.m., a total of 908 vehicles were checked, and five were diverted for suspicion of OVI.

In addition to the checkpoint, officers from participating agencies conducted saturation patrols in the area from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Federal grant money supported the OVI checkpoint and saturation patrols.
