Results announced from weekend OVI checkpoint in Butler County

There were no OVI arrests during a sobriety checkpoint conducted Friday in Hamilton.

Pete Reising, Butler County OVI Task Force coordinator, said the checkpoint was held from 10 p.m. to 1:15 a.m. was on westbound Main Street at F Street in Hamilton.

A total of 468 vehicles were checked with 17 drivers being diverted for further investigation that resulted in one felony arrest for drug possession and three citations for no driver’s license.

Hamilton police, Butler County Sheriff’s deputies and Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the checkpoint.

Another OVI checkpoint is scheduled for Friday. The time and location of that checkpoint will be released the day of the checkpoint.
